This project aims to make the servicing of the aircraft NiCad battery as automated as possible, with minimal human intervention required. The project will include the creation of a system which is fully able to perform the tasks of charging and discharging, in accordance to the maintenance manual. These data of the monitoring processes would be fully accessible wirelessly. This design seeks to be not only cost efficient, time saving and effective, but also advanced in safety features and user experience which significantly reduces workload of the service crew. In addition, this system is considerably smaller then it’s predecessors.
