Taking my Narrowboat across the River Mersey After weeks of single handing my narrowboat through many locks and swing bridges to Salthouse Dock in Liverpool, I then make plans and get the Rum Wench ready for her next big adventure through Brunswick lock across the dangerous and tidal River Mersey to Eastham Lock and onto the Manchester Ship Canal towards Ellesmere Port.
