1981-ishhh F/V AnnJo, owned by the late Larry G. Kinley. This boat was his pride and joy. Documentation was important to him, to save, share and inspire. Here we are in 1981-ish, commercial fishing for salmon in the San Juan Islands in WA. Back in these days, there was an abundance of salmon runs throughout the pacific northwest. The local tribes worked together with the non-natives, utilizing quotas to prevent over fishing. With climate change and all of the deteriorating our Mother Earth is enduring, this amount of abundance is but a memory. However, The Salmon People believe that if we all work together to help restore the salmon runs and preserve Mother Earth and care for her, she will return to caring for us as she once did.
