Climate change has become the most pressing concern in recent times due to its significant impact on the environment. As architects, it is essential for us to take responsibility for our actions and make efforts to minimize the impact of our products on the environment, even if they are small. Climate change has severe consequences, as temperatures and sea levels continue to rise annually. In 2020, Vietnam experienced 13 storms, while the Philippines suffered from 22, including the most powerful storms of the year. These events resulted in devastating floods, landslides, and other catastrophes. Despite these occurrences, individuals in developing countries like Vietnam often fail to recognize the gravity of climate change. Developing countries face various challenges that contribute to situations like the one in Vietnam. According to the FAO, Vietnam has the second-highest deforestation rate globally. Additionally, El Nino has caused storms, floods, and landslides. As of October 2020, natural disasters have resulted in the death or disappearance of 153 individuals in Vietnam. The Da Nang residence spans 250 square meters and caters to a family consisting of a young couple and their two children. Our objective is to construct an environmentally conscious abode. By exploiting natural energy sources, we aim to minimize the dependency on fossil fuels and also conserve water resources. On the first level of the house, there is a living room, a kitchen, a guest bedroom, a storeroom, and a laundry room. The kitchen and living room are interconnected to form a spacious and versatile area, while also minimizing the amount of built-up space and allowing for a larger garden area. Each room offers a view of the garden through large, transparent sliding windows, which facilitate optimal ventilation throughout the house.
