He is most famous for his 6 wives, of which he executed two of them, but during his almost 4 decade long reign on the throne, he executed roughly around 70,000 people. He was also responsible for the death of his former best friend Thomas Cromwell, a mastermind of political spin, and also the execution his former Chief Advisor Sir Thomas More. There were many more executions of high status men and women ordered, including Margaret Poles, which was performed by a blundering axeman chasing the almost 70 year old lady around the grounds of the Tower of London.
