D7 Cat Drew Whisenhunt rebuilt final drive in 2012. Bearings were pulverized and the final drive case was cut open by the gear being cocked to one side and rubbing the case all the way through. Also honed out the track adjuster cylinder and reworked the piston rings in it, as it would not hold the track tension before.My son did this! This is his first dozer he had never worked on one or ran one until this project cam along. This was a major repair for his first time dealing with a dozer, I guess it worked!!
