2015 Mercedes GLA 220 CDI (170hp) AMG - DRIVE & SOUND (1080p)

This week I present to You the full Drive & Sound with the all new 2014/2015 Mercedes GLA 220 CDI 4Matic featuring a 2.1 liter Turbo-Diesel with 170 hp and 350 Nm of torque. My special thanks, once again, go to the Torpedo Garage in Kaiserslautern (www.torpedo-garage.de) who let me test-drive their new GLA for our community. This particular GLA comes with the optional AMG Line trim which gives the car a very bulky & sporty appearance. Up to 160 km/h the acceleration figures are pretty decent while the wind-resistance grows significantly at higher speeds. The engine also has a sporty tone to it and a good punch in the mid-revs. Unlike the new C-Class where the 220 BlueTec has the 7G-Tronic Plus transmission the A-, CLA-, B-, and GLA-Class feature Mercedes's 7-speed dual clutch transmission. In the result the shift times are a lot faster than what the conventional 7G-Tronic is able to do, still keeping the smooth character when you are driving at town speeds. I especially enjoyed the direct steering and the well-balanced suspension between sportiness and ride comfort.
