On this episode we examine Seiko's new for 2016, Turtle-Reissue, specifically the SRP773 'blue' model. Vintage Divers are currently a hot commodity with collectors and Seiko has really struck gold with this piece. It's really, near perfect honestly. Don't be intimidated by the larger specs, it actually wears really well and only presents a footprint slightly larger than the SKX007/009. It's really an iconic tool watch reborn/reworked with all the necessary modern updates. The Turtle reissue, plays off of the same nostalgia as Oris Divers '65, Longines Legend Diver, and Tudor Black Bay, but at a much more accessible price point. From that standpoint, the watch really does offer a lot of value considering it's niche contemporaries. On the other side of that coin, when comparing spec for spec, at a purely objective standpoint, there are a lot of other options with the same features for a lot less.
