So, here things go a little off the rails - no pun intended. I wanted to use ALL TWELVE U of my purchased rails, and fell in love with the idea of The Golden Ratio, by Eurorack Modular Case designs. Where I went wrong though was choosing a terrible material to build this case out of; melamine-coated particle board. This is not good stuff to work with, no only from the health risk perspective, but it's super brittle so unless great care is taken working with melamine, you'll end up like me - with broken ends, stripped screw holes, and shards of cancer-causing chemicals injected into your flesh. (okay maybe that last bit was dramatic, but I really hate the stuff) I will revisit The Golden Ratio using either laminated plywood or hardwood in the future.
