This video is all about the new Automated Shift Assistant system from BMW. An automatic or manual clutchless system which allows you to ride the motorcycle in a non conventional way. The bike no longer has a clutch lever, it no longer has a conventional foot gear shift lever. This foot gear shift lever has become a glorified switch which relays to the bikes ECU to change gear either automatically in "A" mode or by the rider pushing down or up on the foot gear lever in "M" mode. I hope you enjoy my first ride impressions of this bike as I compare it against my own R1300 GS Trophy Enduro X without ASA but with a quick shifter.
