These are interchangeable terms for the Sway Bar and the two rods on two ends of the bar...regardless, this short video shows how to replace the bar and the two rods. The bar has attached bushings which also deteriorate over time. Unfortunately, these bushings are attached to the bar and cannot be independently replaced. In other words, when these bushings fail, the whole bar must be replaced. Mine were ok. However, I did remove the bar to show how it is done. Tested only on 2000 S500, but it may work on later years and the S430 as well. If the car feels out of your steering control against headwinds - specially - at highway speeds, then you must think about replacing your sway bark links. That is one of the most common causes of the car swaying left or right based on the direction and velocity of the wind.
