Sadly it has been mostly in the box. I felt that while the sound was very mostly nice, it could also be very harsh, and many factory presets were just odd to me, so I really did not become friends with it at first. Maybe it also felt a little bit intimidating with all pots and buttons for a guy who mostly played presets and did only minor adjustments to the sounds at hand. Last summer I've got the Behringer Pro-800 which I instantly liked and started making more sounds of my own. Now I feel I should really take on the Prophet 08, figure out how it works, dig into sound design - and finally decided should I keep it or not. Synths should be played, not stored in a box.
