Reassembling the movement, looking at the numbers, building it up, and choosing a strap. Background: I won an auction I'd forgotten about (followed by an absolutely moronic 2-week interaction with UPS - they've heard the words "over" & "night" but apparently never thought to put them together) it is here! Early one-owner unrestored 6159-7010 hi-beat Grandfather Tuna. Titanium case, ceramic-coated shroud, 600m resistance. This is a pretty early one; March 1975, which I think is around when they started being made. Does anyone know? It doesn't have the 'm' after the 600-meter depth rating, just the number. Not long in they added it, probably for legal reasons I'd guess. Also included is a comparison between this watch and a '77 6309-7040 that has the "77 Tan" lume. PSA: This video contains sub-optimal levels of editing, usually none. We have zero script, no planning, no real editing, nothing. Same for the sound - I forget my microphone pretty regularly, so if you can hear anything count that as a win. Even if that "anything" is tuneless humming. I did pump up the volume though. YMMV if you choose to blow part of your life on this. No Refunds. Enjoy! www.kleinvintagewatch.com / kleinvintagewatch https://www.instagram.com/ No ammonites were harmed in the making of this video.
