Sony A7IV compressed VS uncompressed RAW I am not going to beat around the bush here. I am changing to compressed RAW files for photos. I don't see a significant enough difference between uncompressed and compressed RAW to photography otherwise. I prefer to have the extra 4-5 frames per second in burst mode and get the shot I need. Compressed RAW is half the file size, and you are able to get more frames per second with little to no image quality loss. This wasn't a completely scientific review but it includes real world photos and testing and also some studio testing. It is safe to say compressed RAW will suit majority of people for many different needs.
