Lesson - Insane Pat Martino bending lick I borrowed this from Joyous Lake and Willis Jackson's Bar Wars album. Pat does this bluesy lick that is really bad-@ss but in typically characteristic fashion, it's not like any blues lick you've heard before. It's only a 1/2 step bend and keep in mind that when I studied with him, he was using .016 - .058 strings so a 1/2 step bend was probably as much as he could even do on his L5! Once, he let me play his guitar and the action was so high that I literally couldn't play an F Barre chord. No wonder he developed some 1/2 step blues bends!
