Marurui is a neighbourhood in the city of Nairobi. Located in the larger Kasarani area, it is approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) northeast of the central business district of Nairobi. The estate is believed to have got its name from a medical plant known as Olmaroroi by the Maasai. The neighbourhood is zoned as a low-density residential suburb with single-family homes.[1] Marurui hosts the high-income, middle-income to some low-income residents.
