President Ruto: Kenyan protests were ignited by “fake news”

In an interview with DW’s Fatou Ellika Muloshi in Berlin, Kenyan President William Ruto has defended the migration deal he signed with Germany, in the face of concerns that it could rob his country of needed skilled workers. Ruto called the deal a win-win, saying that Kenya's demographics meant that it had hundreds of thousands of young people in need of employment opportunities. However, contrary to the claims made by the Kenyan government that 250,000 Kenyans will be allowed to work in Germany, Germany insists that the pact does not state the exact number of Kenyans who would be allowed in the country and also said the deal would only allow qualified workers to apply but “without a right to remain.” ----- #DWAfrica #the77percent #rutomustgo #financebill #kenya #williamruto #kenyaprotests # ----- 77 percent of Africans are younger than 35.
