Catmosphere Cat Cafe in Chiang Mai

They are frequented by students, local families and foreign tourists alike. A cat cafe is a theme cafe where you can watch, pet and play with the feline staff. The first cat cafe opened in 1998 in Taipei, Taiwan and became especially popular in Japan, Singapore, Korea, etc… In crowded and stressful urban environments, it gives people who are unable to have cats at home, a chance to relax and unwind with a variety of cat companions. Cat cafes have opened across Europe and there are a number planned for US cities. While most cat cafes have a cover charge, you only pay for drinks and food at the cat cafes in Chiang Mai at this time. Catmosphere is Chiang Mai’s newest cat cafe. Despite only having opened in mid 2014, it is popular amongst foreign tourists and often highly ranked on tripadvisor.
