How to Create Slot Machine Animation in After Effects

In this video, I will tell you how to create a simple slot machine animation in After Effects. Here I have created a main composition of 1080 pixels. And I will create a new comp for icons. In the new composition, I made the length 1000, and the height 200. In the next step, I will import 5 logos, and insert them into the newly created composition. Set the size and position of the logos. After they have been arranged horizontally, create a new solid layer in white. Make sure it is the same size as the composition. Move the solid layer to the bottom. Select all the logo layers, then rotate them by 90 degrees. Back to the main composition, and insert the comp logos into it. Rotate the logo composition by minus 90 degrees. When it looks upright, add the CC Cylinder effect. Expand the Light section. On Light Intensity, I changed it to 150. And on Light DIrection, I changed it to 60. After that, expand the Rotation settings. At the first second, I will activate the keyframe on Rotation Y. After that at the fourth second, I create a new keyframe and change the value on Rotation Y to 8. Then I add the easy ease effect on the two keyframes, and edit the graphic to be like that. In the next step, add the CC Motion Blur effect. At the 1st second, I activate the keyframe in Motion Blur Samples, and change the value to 40 at the 1st second. Then at the earliest duration, I change the value to 0. Then I made both keyframes into a Toggle Hold Keyframe. Duplicate those keyframes as many times as needed. After that, set all the positions. After setting the position, we need to set the appearance of the logo at the beginning of the duration. I will change all its appearance through Rotation Y in the initial keyframe.
