50 years of the Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway 1973 - 2023

A week on the holiday line in South Devon saw a total of 3 steam locomotives in action. Including S160 2253 'Omaha', 75014 'Braveheart' & 'Hercules' 4277. Over the course of the 5 days saw an intensive timetable, giving the opportunity to catch the locos working hard at a range of locations along the line. 2023 also saw the Dartmouth Steam Railway celebrate their 50th anniversary of running steam trains to Kingswear from Paignton. Which meant wearing a commemorative headboard on every service. Unfortunately 'Omaha' failed its fitness to run test midweek with 4277 having to replace its duties. Also seen in the sheds at Churston is small prairie 4555 on loan from the East Somerset Railway. Thanks for watching.
