Strobe Light Made Using Scanner/Printer Parts
Today, we replaced our 9 year old HP printer with a brand new Epson printer that has WiFi printing capabilities. Naturally, I ripped the old one apart and took any useful parts from it. By far, the most interesting part was the light bar from the scanner and its inverter. I connected it to a 12 volt power supply to test it, and it worked. I made a 555 timer oscillator connected to a relay, essentially creating a strobe light.
