🎒 We Tried Homeschool for 5-Months: Here's What we learned + what we're doing next. 🎒

5 months ago we hit pause on traditional school and dived into a trial of home education with our two kids! In this podcast-y episode I'm chatting about why we landed here trying out homeschool, the highs and lows of our home education experiment, how it affected and honestly challenged me emotionally and as a mother, and then... what we're doing next. It’s been a learning curve for all of us, and I’m excited about the steps ahead! Full story on why we started:    • Why We're (nervously!) Trying Home Ed...   A Day in London during our trial:    • A Home-Ed “School” Day in the City!   And here’s something I didn’t mention in the video: Homeschooling on a tight budget, maybe especially at the primary school level where school provides crafts and a lot of resources (that in England the parents don't pay for), is tough. There’s so much potential for creative, diverse learning at home, but the reality is—home needs to be set up a certain way for this to work well without sinking money into supplies. We had some luck in terms of making it work on a budget, and in time there are savings like daily school run travel and uniforms, but it's a real factor to consider if you're used to paying nothing for school. ✨ Whether you’re curious about home education or just looking for a behind the scenes chat and honest take on parenting, hit play for our experience! TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 Intro and how we got here! 4:52 The trial! 6:38 The highs/pros 10:53 The lows/cons 15:48 Curriculum we use 20:22 What's next?
