SEEING THE WHITE CASTLE OF OSAKA, MATSUSHIMA & BEAUTIFUL VIEWS OF OSAKA - Abeno Harukas Tour

This video is an in-depth guide to Oaska looking at Osaka Castle, Matsushita and Abeno Harukas with its beautiful views of the City and its surroundings. Follow me on Instagram: @dneyts Osaka Castle: Osaka Castle, a symbol of Japanese heritage, was constructed in 1583 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Over the centuries, it has withstood wars and fires, undergoing reconstructions. Today, it stands as a historical icon, preserving Japan's rich past, and welcomes school tours, trolley tours, and a constant stream of tourists exploring its grandeur. The castle grounds boast Torii Gates, adding to its allure, while historic structures in the gardens transport visitors to bygone eras. The bustling atmosphere, filled with tourists, contrasts with the serene castle gardens, offering respite. Ascending to the castle's zenith, we are greeted with extraordinary panoramic views of the city, showcasing once again how modern Osaka is. Inside, a museum further unravels the castle's story, providing context to its significance. However, it does feel strange to be inside Osaka Castle within this modern setting, whereas the exterior is centuries old. Body of water around castle: The ishigaki stone walls of Osaka Castle are clear evidence of the high standard of Japanese construction technology. The stone wall on the east side of the central castle core is 34 meters high, measured from the base stones buried at the bottom of the moat, making it the highest among all Japanese castle walls. Seeing these walls really showcases how advanced they were even back then. Surrounding Osaka Castle is Osaka Castle Park, featuring a vast expanse of greenery. The park offers a serene escape from the bustling city, with its lush landscapes and vibrant foliage. Visitors can leisurely stroll through the park, enjoying the historical ambiance and natural beauty that envelop this cultural landmark. Shitenoji temple in the middle of the City of Osaka + Much less tourists here + Small statues in shrine (jizo) Shitennoji Temple: Shitennoji Temple, established in 593 AD by Prince Shotoku, stands as Japan's oldest Buddhist temple. Steeped in history, it has weathered wars and fires, retaining its spiritual significance. Despite its cultural importance, Shitennoji sees fewer tourists, offering a quieter exploration of its grounds. Within the shrine, small statues called Jizo are prevalent. Jizo, believed to be protectors of travelers and children, symbolize compassion and aid in the afterlife, often adorned with children's clothing and toys as expressions of love and remembrance. Shitennoji Temple, with its cultural and spiritual resonance, remains a tranquil sanctuary amid the vibrant city. Matsushima: Matsushima, a charming area in Osaka, truly presents a more quaint and traditional view of Japan, offering a welcome escape from the crowded tourist spots. Its covered shopping street exudes a nostalgic ambiance with a variety of old-style stores, traditional restaurants, and delightful street food vendors. Wandering through this vibrant marketplace provides a glimpse into the rich tapestry of Osaka's culture. From timeless shops to savory street bento, this area captivates visitors with a harmonious blend of history, local flavors, and the lively spirit of this unique neighborhood. Abeno Harukas Tower: Abeno Harukas Tower in Osaka is a multifaceted attraction, featuring a luxurious food market at its base that surprisingly offers affordable culinary delights. Strangely, this area, though considered luxury, is super affordable in price. The middle-level viewing area, free of charge, provides impressive views and is a good place to visit if you don’t want to spend any money, although the ultimate panoramic experience awaits at Harukas 300. Even the elevator ride to the top is an awe-inspiring journey, setting the stage for the stunning vistas from the observation deck. Additionally, the tower boasts a restaurant area on the top deck, allowing visitors to savor not just breathtaking views but also delightful dining, creating a complete and memorable experience in the heart of Osaka. #osakacastle #shitennoji #abenoharukas
