Here is an example of a flight crew briefing conducted with paper Boeing 737-300 flight planning. The documents used are for training purposes only - do not attempt to use any of these numbers for actual operations. As part of an oral & practical Aircraft Dispatcher FAA exam, the candidate is expected to give an example flight crew briefing. Listen and follow along as I give an example brief for a flight from KORD - KSEA with weather, fuel planning, weight limitations, an application of various ops specs along with Exemption 3585. For more on the specific topics covered during this example flight crew brief, check out my other videos about dispatch and the practical test prep playlist for aircraft dispatch. Specialized dispatcher training and/or experience requirements are necessary to become an aircraft dispatcher certificated by the FAA. The list of FAA-approved dispatch training programs can be found here: https://www.faa.gov/training_testing/... (click the link for Approved Courses for Part 65 Aircraft Dispatcher Certification). Of course, I highly recommend you check out LeTourneau University's training program - since that's where I teach an aircraft dispatcher course every summer and use these exact forms and process for flight planning! Always remember that Laura, when you get right down to it, is just a pilot and a dispatcher. She is explaining facts from the source materials but may be incorrect or out of date. You should always follow your primary guidance (Aircraft manuals, government regulations, etc.) before listening to anything from this YouTube channel.
