So I'll start out by telling you guys a little bit about myself and then give you sort of an overview of what we're gonna go through together as a group today. So as I said, my name is Jules. I work in the admissions office here at UMass Amherst. I'm also a UMass Amherst alum and the larger group it's almost guaranteed there'll be another alum in the audience at least. Do we have any alums here today returning to campus? All right. Cool. Well maybe some future alums. The reason why I always like to ask and kind of give a special shout out to our alumni is because I'm the child of two alumni. Both of my parents went to UMass Amherst. They actually met here. So I really love UMass Amherst. It's really my privilege to be able to welcome you to the university and to talk to you about what makes UMass so special and what we have to offer here. So just to get a sense of what we're gonna go through, I'll talk a little bit more about myself and my UMass experience, what I love about the school. I have three different things that I like to highlight as my favorite things about this institution. Through those three different things that I talk about I hope you'll start to get a sense of what UMass Amherst is all about. And then we'll move into talking about the actual application, admission and enrollment portion of the presentation, which is a little more facts and figures, but it's important information to give you a sense of what to expect. Of course we know as well as anybody that the college application and admissions process is complex, can be stressful. It can be confusing. So anything that I can do to make it less so, and just to be very transparent about what you'll need to do, how we make decisions and what you can expect. That's the goal of this info session today. Then of course, we'll have a chance to ask questions. You're also welcome to raise your hand at any point throughout my presentation and ask questions. And I'm assuming that most of you are probably going on a campus tour right after this. That's another great opportunity to ask questions, especially about campus life, academic offerings, residential life, et cetera, because the campus tours are gonna be given by our current students. They're living here right now. They can really speak to what it is like to be a student here at UMass. So hopefully we'll get all your questions answered and you'll have a really nice day here on campus.
