A look at the close fought campaign of the Ireland General Election for 2007. In another hung parliament, Fianna Fail lost one seat from their 2002 election, Sinn Fein lost 1 seat, Progressive Democrats lost 6 seats, Fine Gael won back 20 seats from their disasterous campaign in 2002. However Fianna Fail and Bertie Ahern were returned to power for the third time running. With the demise of the Progressive Democrats, The Green Party formed the main partner of the coalition government. The government lasted 44 months of it's 5-year term. Throughout 2007, The Mahon Tribunal called upon a number of politicians to explain their financial affairs. Bertie Ahern was the main participant this year. Amateur Recording.
