Keeping a feed of Trout from the Eildon Pondage

Fresh air, crystal clear water, and gorgeous fish. What more could I ask for? I headed for the hills the second the travel restrictions were lifted, with the hope of bringing home some freshly caught trout for the dinner table. The wind was very gusty and at times quite frustrating, but my patience paid off and I was rewarded with a couple of fine specimens to bring home for my family to enjoy. Eildon Pondage is a heavily and frequently stocked waterway thanks to the hard work from the Snobs Creek Hatchery, and Victorian Fisheries Authority. I would much rather keep trout from a place like this than in a river or stream where they are self populating.
