Day 2 of our fishing adventure to the far north of New Zealand, where today we target deep sea fish particularly Hapuka, Grouper, Bass and Blue Nose. All great table fish we do hope to be successful at bringing some fish home for the table. I was committed to slow pitch jigging deep water and had 500+ meters of PE6 braid on my reel, ready to pitch all day, we set off for an amazing day. As you will see the deep-sea fishing was great, but then we crossed paths with an amazing spectacle of fish feeding on the surface. Although I could have continued to do slow pitch jigging, there is nothing like a surface eat from a big angry yellow tail kingfish.
