The Heididorf or Heidi village is an adventure park at the original site of the Heidigeschichte above Maienfeld in Switzerland. The most famous building in the Heidi village is the Heidi house, where Heidi and her grandfather, the Alpöehi, lived in winter and Heidi attended school in the village. The story of Heidi by Swiss author Johanna Spyri (1827-1901), written in 1880 and 1881, is one of the most famous children's books in the world.
