DIY Maple Sap Reverse Osmosis Unit. New and Improved

This video is a walk through of my latest DYI Maple Sap RO build. It shows the components and shows the unit in operation. The unit uses three 4inX40in RO membranes in series. The high pressure pump is a 330 gal/hr Procon pump. Depending on sap and air temperature this unit will remove between 100 and 150 gallons of water (permeate) per hour. I use it primarily for batch processing, processing one batch at a time. On occasion (when I really need more sap in my evaporator quickly) I have used it as a "one pass" RO. Under these circumstances it removes about a 1/3 of the volume in a single pass.
