Even if it doesn't seem like it, our Little Carpathians, which have been suffering mostly from droughts in recent years, do have a few waterfalls. However, it is definitely a good idea to go to them in the rainy season to make the visit worthwhile. This time we went to Vilmoš waterfalls (Vilmošove vodopády) near Marianka, a well-known pilgrimage site in the vicinity of Bratislava. The beginning of autumn and the fog allowed us to see a lot of beautiful sceneries along the way :-) We turned the circuit in the vicinity of Bystrická hora, where it was busy with animals - fallow deer and deer crossed our route. In front of the (only triangulation marked) Svätý vrch, we cut through the birch grove and returned to Mariánka along the Mariánský stream, where we were especially pleased with the view of the chapel of the Svätá studňa. In addition to the monuments associated with the spiritual character of Marianka, you can also find here an adit from the 18th century, where slate was mined.
