Fix Media Library Showing Blank Images in WordPress | WordPress Tutorial

I have media library showing some blank images in WordPress. There are images but are not being displayed properly. If we inspect elements, we can see errors related to images. These errors are not just in backend. WordPress site may not display some images in this condition as well. We will also look into WordPress media library not showing images after migration. The problem is related to images so there is some kind of mechanism that is involved is handling images. One thing to check is htaccess file. If htaccess has got images related rules, try commenting those. Images may have hotlink protection, try to disable that. In my case, I am converting PNG and JPG images to WebP format by using a plugin that uses htaccess rules to handle images redirects. Plugin name is 'WebP Express'. If you are using same plugin, I have few recommendations for you. 1- This plugin may show issues on localhost, so try testing it in live environment. 2- Try using bulk convert images to WebP. This will solve the issues most likely. 3- If you have image manipulation extension disabled, try enabling it from PHP settings. For example GD. 4- Alter HTML and replace image URLs for this plugin. If you are using elementor page builder, go to its settings. Use internal embedding from 'print method option' instead of external file. If you use external file, it will throw CSS files in uploads folder that is being processed by the conversion plugin. This may cause issue. So use internal embedding. When you will do these steps. One of these that may be causing issues with images, will be fixed. Now if we see the media library, we have images back. And at frontend images are back too. So in case of image related issues, look for htaccess file or htaccess rules for images or there is some image treatment related plugin that you are using is misconfigured. Try to look into these areas and your broken images issue will be fixed.
