This model year was still equipped with the older Hitachi type air compressors. The newer models come with German-made AMK compressors, but the connectors and mounting brackets for the AMK compressor are not compatible with the Hitachi compressor. I had two options: either buy the much more expensive AMK compressor along with the conversion kit or stick with the reliable and much cheaper Hitachi, avoiding the need to replace the air lines. I chose the latter. Unfortunately, during installation, we discovered that the compressor mounting bracket was broken, the bushing was severely worn out, and the outtake air line was damaged. I ordered all parts on eBay, and once they arrive, we will replace them as well.
