Replacing the up and downstop felts on the keyboards in an A-101. Most of the Hammond consoles are the same concept, with only subtle differences. Some consoles have what appear to be rivets in the front rail instead of screws...DO NOT drill them out! What you see are the heads of a bolt. There is a nut on the other end that can be removed, but keys and the cheek blocks will have to be removed to access the nuts. The upstop felt can be cut out with a knife without removing the front rails. Tricky, and all the keys have to be removed, but possible...especially if you are taking the keys out for cleaning or polishing anyway. This is one project that will make a dramatic improvement in the feel of your Hammond keyboard. You may want to also fix any loose keycombs while the organ is apart. After doing this, the keyboard will be as it was when new.
