Beginner's Journey: National Bison Range Uncovered

National Bison Range Join us as we delve into the profound history of the National Bison Range, established in 1908 on the Flathead Indian Reservation in Montana. This land, once taken without the consent of the Séliš, Qĺispé, and Ksanka Tribes, holds deep cultural and historical significance. The bison that roam these plains today are descendants of a herd protected by Tribal members in the 1800s, a time when the species was on the brink of extinction.
