The camera shake is only for the first 3 minutes. I tried to stabilize it, but it still came out weird. This is the first video I've edited rather than just straight uploaded. I spent 3 days editing out most of my "uh"s, stutters, and long pauses, which cut the total length in half, so I'll be doing the same for all future videos. This isn't comprehensive—it's mostly what I use and find useful and how I've set up my work area. 00:00 Intro 00:57 Camera Mount 02:00 Lighting (see note below) 02:15 Work Area & Shelving 03:01 Chair Height 04:40 Pinning Mats 06:17 Pinning Trays 06:50 Pin Storage Cabinet 07:35 Reverse Tweezers 08:40 Followers 11:27 Shims 12:08 Lock Formats & Pin Access 14:11 SFIC 16:09 Euro-cylinders 19:04 Grub Screws 19:25 Grubbing a Euro-cylinder 20:36 Grub Screw Sizes 22:02 Drivers 22:16 Electric Screwdriver 23:15 JIS — Japanese Industrial Standard 26:04 Brass Clips 27:09 Spring Clips 29:44 Lock Lubricants 31:38 Magnifiers 32:12 Wrist Weights 33:00 Yale 500 vs. Yale 500+ This is the medium sized mat that has the lip around the perimeter, compared to my smaller mat without the lip: https://www.amazon.com/Soldering-Resi... Notes: a "full" Euro-cylinder is also known as a "double". go easy on the lubricant. Most locks don't need much, if any. the LED bar light I've been using for a only few months has died. I do not recommend going for the cheap versions I mention in the video. Like with most things, you get what you pay for. As far as I can tell, Houdini lies. They claim "NO OIL" on the can in big capital letters, but in the material safety data sheet, it says "PROPRIETARY BLEND OF BASE OILS" and "PETROLEUM". Petroleum is crude oil. They also claim "No Teflon". That may be technically correct, but Teflon is PTFE, and Houdini has PTFE. So I'm going to be switching to TriFlow. It may not be any healthier, but at least they are honest about it. Houdini material safety data sheet: https://www.superslickstuff.com/wp-co...
