2013 Infiniti JX - Theater Package (if so equipped)

If your vehicle is equipped with the Infiniti Theatre package with the Dual Head Restraint DVD System, you can enjoy watching video files from either a DVD or CD providing images and sound from both the front and rear display screens. Using compatible auxiliary jacks, you and your passengers can also play video games, camcorders, or portable video players. For optimum diversity, the front display and the rear displays can use independent video and audio sources. Use the remote controller that comes with the system to operate the rear display screens. As a safety feature, the front display will not be available while the vehicle is moving and the remote controller cannot be used in the front seat. To see images, the shift selector must be in the P or Park position and the parking brake applied. Rear passengers have the option of using wireless headphones that are part of the Theatre Package. On the other hand, you may choose to connect your own wired-headphones by plugging into the headphone jacks located on the back of the center console. Once plugged in, control the volume through the control knob by turning to increase or decrease the volume. To set up the wireless headphones, first press the switch located on the headphones to the ON position. The power LED will illuminate if the battery is charged. Check to make sure you have selected the correct display channel. For the left- hand side display, the left-right switch on the headphones should be set to the left. For the right- hand side display, the left-right switch on the headphones should be set to the right. Use the volume control to keep the sound at a comfortable level. If there is no sound after four minutes, the headphones will automatically turn-off. In addition, the headphones will turn-off after four hours of continuous use. If the audio is not clear on the headphones, it could be due to interference from another communication device. To resolve the problem, you can turn the volume down or stop using the headphones. The wireless headphone system will function only in the rear seat. The DVD feature plays much like the ones used in homes. Passengers in the backseat can enjoy this entertainment option when the vehicle is running. However, the vehicle must be in "P" or Park with the parking brake applied for front seat passengers to view the DVD system on the front control panel. To begin, press the DISC-AUXILIARY button on the display screen until the DVD mode is present. When a DVD is inserted, the control options will again be displayed on the screen and will automatically turn-off after a short period. To bring up the operation screen again, press the DISC-AUXILIARY button. The touch screen will allow you select control functions while the DVD is playing without the operation screen being shown. Alternatively, you may choose to use the Infiniti controller to select an item from the displayed video. If you would like to use the remote to watch a DVD, start by choosing the display you wish to control. Slide the L-R switch on the remote to L for the left rear display or R for the right rear display. If you need to pause the DVD, press the pause key. To resume playing, press the play key. To stop the DVD, press the stop key. To skip chapters either forward or backwards, press the double arrow icon in the direction you wish the DVD to go. The chapters will advance forward or backward the number of times the respective key is touched or selected. See your Owner's Manual for a complete list of commands available. To connect a video game or other auxiliary device, press SOURCE on the remote control and use the directional keys and ENTER button to choose the appropriate source. If "Rear AUX" is the desired source, slide the L-R switch on the remote to L for the left rear display or R for the right rear display. Behind the center console are the Input Jacks where you can connect your compatible device. For more information regarding your system's components, please refer to your owner's manual.
