And what does the city centre have for travellers like us? Come with me and I'll show you in 360 degrees. 1. The most characteristic building of Brasov's main square is the old Council House, but we also have the best view from here to the Tampa Hill with the huge Brasov sign. 2. The Black Church is the largest church in Romania. It was named after the fire of the late 17th century, when its walls were covered with black soot. After being almost completely destroyed several times in history, the building finally got its present look around year 2000. 3. About 350 feet from the church we find one of the narrowest streets in Europe, with a small medieval-like plaque around the corner.
