Yes, the title is slightly misleading. The helpers were not actually pushing, but "manned helpers!" was the first thought I had upon seeing them, and it stuck... It's August 22nd, 2023, the second of my three days in Vermont, and I'm heading to possibly the most well known VRS property: The Green Mountain Railroad. After watching the Florence Switcher (FLSW) switch cars and run south to Rutland, I follow GMRC 263, which appeared to have manned helpers... in reality, just the Green Mountain Extra doing some MOW work at washout sites.
