Good friend, team rider, and trail legend Brooks McMahon aka @northshore_onewheel invited us up to Duluth for some winter Onewheel trail ripping. To be perfectly honest we weren't sure how this adventure was going to go down. But after we got the hang of it and some tips from Brooks, we were flying! The trails were fast and sooooo flowy. This is definitely going to be a thing every winter now. If you have winter fat bike trails in your area and you want to try this out, just remember to be respectful and abide by your local rules. Riding trails like this at the wrong time could destroy spring and summer riding for everyone. So again please be respectful and follow the local rules. We highly recommend Badgering your board before trying this one. Zak was riding the WTF rails with a Maxxis 6.5" and it was terrible. Tire choice is crucial when riding hard packed winter trails at speed. Danny was riding the Tail Rails, Flight Fins, and a Trail Pro tire. He was having a little better time keeping speed than Zak was on his setup. Brooks was on WTF rails, Half n Half lift kit, and running a Burris 5.5" TX-33 Tire with iGrip tire studs. He's has definitely dialed in the perfect winter setup and was ripping!! On that note I hope all of you get to experience this at some point.
