Adam Arredondo is the CEO & Co-founder of Local Ruckus and Co-leader of Kansas City Startup Village (KCSV). His passion for entrepreneurship and startups is only matched by his love of Kansas City. Those passions mixed with a large dose of serendipity have thrust him into the heart of the Kansas City's exciting entrepreneurial movement. Adam, his fellow entrepreneurs and Kansas City have a once in a life time opportunity sparked by the launch of Google Fiber and he is determined to do his part to make the most of it. Most people envision entrepreneurs as individuals that start businesses. Often times, they are right. However, that is simply an outcome of a much more fundamental trait of entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship grows out of an individual's burning desire to challenge, be challenged and confront challenges. The status quo is not an option. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
