The Old Pink House is constantly on Google searches as one of the top or best restaurant in Savannah, GA. It certainly has been a round awhile and The Olde Pink House menu focuses on Savannah and Southern Favorites with a modern twist. The Olde Pink House is hardly a house, but a mansion built in 1770 and this beautiful georgian manor is painted it's perfecly unmistacable shade of Pink, Pink is my signatrue color. Once inside, their are so many different dining rooms you can eat in. All with its own uinque style. The Olde Pink House has Venetian chandeliers and fireplaces in most rooms and is filled with 18th century antiquies. We are greated and seated with the Southern charm you'd expect from Savannah. Our Lunch started with water and complimentary cheese sticks or cheese straws that are set on the table. Our starter was the Blue Crab Beneight in an Old Bay Aoili. These were packed with crab and crab flavor but were still light and fluffy and melted in your mouth. Next, I had the BLT Salad. A mixture of greens in a buttermilk dressing topped with two juicey freid green tomatoes and a thick piece of candied bacon. I saw this dish on the Food Networks, "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" and knew I had to have it. Thank you Chef Aaron Sanchez for the amazing recomendation. Jim got Max's Fried Chicken with a side of Macaroni and Cheese. It was delisious but there is a ton of great fried chicken in Savannah... we like Mrs. Wilkes and Jim likes The Lady and Sons. We finish this memorable southern lunch with The Olde Pink House's signature dessert, their Praline Basket filled with vanilla bean ice cream topped with a mango citrus sause, fresh fruit, whip cream and chocolate. This place is definetly worth the hype and should be on everyone's list of restaurant's to check out in Savannah. The Old Pink House is some of the best food in Savannah because it focuses on the Southern classics done in inventive ways.
