For this particular track I had an interesting idea in mind: What if I try and narrate a story using the end of the year composition? And that's exactly what Rifting Apart is. This track essentially tells the story of my progression since "The Beggining Of The End" was released (That being Ending 2k18, the first ever end of the year track) All the way to the present day. The idea behind the story is that since 2018 the reality has been destabilizing with each track release, creating a lot of variety in between each End of the year song (2k18 focuses on raw "Oldschool" Dubstep inspired by Skrillex, 2k19 introduces a more Dance/House approach with Bass House) 2k20 was a very special track for me, not only because 2020 was a fantastic year in my eyes and my experience, but also because I reached a new level on music production that i never could've thinked of. Since 2k20, the followup tracks were all using the same "Vibe" and ended up with some different styles but maintaining the basic concepts of Interstellar. Last year I decided to switch things up slightly, and Unstable Worlds was born. This track is my best work of all time and it shows, it was a fantastic creation in my eyes, and introduced some new styles, genres and instruments into the mix. Finally, Rifting Apart is a farewell to every single End of the Year track before this one, combining elements from Unstable Worlds and narrating the story of how those worlds ended up Re-stabilizing again (This is showcased when the track glitches out in some parts, and ends up replaying the same sections) After fighting and defeating the anomalies, we end up in an alternative timeline where things have changed to produce a different outcome.
