The Pere Marquette at Pine Street, Amtrak 19, the Morning Transfer, 154 and More

We start this video with a southbound NS grain train on a sunny cool October morning. Then along comes Amtrak 19 with the usual Siemens and GE units for power. Right after that comes NS 154 heading up the Greenville with a single DPU on the rear. We tail the rear DPU. Then along comes the morning transfer train from CSX Howell yard back to NS Inman yard with two SD40's and a GE. And while that's going on we get a westbound NS freight with a mid train DPU sneaking up on us so we chase after it. And the second the transfer train is clear along comes a southbound CSX stack train. We pace it. Then we see some CSX light engines heading off the wye back to Pine street so we follow. There is a surprise at Tilford we've been waiting for that's been tied down all morning. Over at Pine we catch the light engines which includes a nice SD70 rebuild. And finally we head over to the bridge at Tilford next to the NS rail plant. It's the Pere Marquette heritage unit. Not a bad looking engine. It's a difficult angle to shoot with all the power lines and trees but after a couple tries we get a good side shot in excellent light. In the next video we will get to see this one at Howell along with another CSX heritage unit. So stay tuned!
