Walk 139 | South Downs | The Trundle

A 5.45-mile circular walk on the South Downs in West Sussex. My walk begins at St. Roche's Hill, located near Goodwood Race Course and heads uphill to the Iron-Age hillfort on its summit called ‘The Trundle’. Here I also locate Trig Point S4044 (206 metres). Next, I head back down St Roche’s Hill and down Chalkpit Lane, to the village of East Lavant. Once through the village, I follow the gentle footpath heading north, until I reach the steep climb of Haye’s Down, which returns me to the car park at the foot of St Roche’s Hill. This video was filmed in 4K on a GoPro Hero 11 and a DJI Mini 3 Drone, on a grey and windy day in August 2024. If you would like to suggest a walk for me to video, please let me know in the comments.
