Mueller Hut is often regarded as one of the best overnight hikes in New Zealand; but reaching the hut is no simple walk in the park. The 10.5 KM return trip includes a demanding ascent of over 1000 meters in just ~5 KM; the challenge is part of the trek’s appeal. Hikers will be rewarded with stunning views of the Hooker Valley, Aoraki/Mount Cook and the surrounding mountains.
