David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas of Los Lobos & La Marisoul join Los Cenzontles to pay homage to Manuel Gonzales, Big Manny, of The Blazers. Somebody Please was originally recorded by The Vanguards in 1969 and embraced by Chicanos in East LA. Artists and production: David Hidalgo, lead vocals and electric guitars; Cesar Rosas, lead vocals; La Marisoul, vocals; Fabiola Trujillo, background vocals; Lucina Rodriguez, background vocals; Eugene Rodriguez, vihuela, guitarra de golpe, and classical guitar; Pablo Aslan, bass; Carlos Caro, percussion. This recording was produced by David Hidalgo and Eugene Rodriguez. Recorded by David Luke, Alberto Lopez, and Mike Toolines. Edited by Adrian Buono. Mixed by Greg Morgenstein. Mastered by Ken Lee.
