Cayton Campground has 27 campsites (sites 6-20 have electric hookups) and is next to the Dolores River in the San Juan National Forest. There are 16 reservable sites (11 with hookups) and the other 11 are first-come, first-serve (5 with electric hookups). The campground has 2 loops and the lower loop (Loop A - 14 sites) is closer to the river. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. There is also a dry dump station located at the campground. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 50 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Cell service is not available. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host.
