Idyllic Tewet Tarn Walk.

Walking from Keswick we followed the Threlkeld rail path for around 2miles before turning off to go under the A66 via a subway and along to a B-road turning left downhill(away from castlerigg stone circle) crossing naddle beck and heading west along the road to a junction turning right towards st.johns in the vale before turning right through a gate uphill along a track to Tewet tarn. Having spent some time at the tarn(very picturesque and quiet) we headed south uphill to low-rigg and down to a church(holly well of st.john the baptist at the road end).....then followed a well defined track across country(eastwards) eventually taking you to the A591 near nest-brow, from there we headed north along the road towards Keswick and waited at a bus stop at the castle-rigg hall campsite turn off. The bus never arrived so walked from there into Keswick......total distance walked around 7miles. Thanks for watching.
