It is a romantic, quiet and naturally beautiful little Island in the Ionian Sea, with three fishing villages and lots of stunning places and “private” beaches waiting to be discovered. Not a commercial Island but that’s the point… to visit this emerald Island, take a break of the city life and enjoy the natural beauty, the colors of the sky and the sea, the sound of the waves together with some local people talking to each other and kids playing in the streets and running among the ancient olive trees. Paxi consists of Paxos, Antipaxos, Mongonisi, Caltsonisi, Panagia, Saint Nicholas, and Dascalia. Gaios, is the main port of the Island, with Venetian architecture and many side streets, where you can wander around and find countless small shops with clothes and souvenirs. Lakka, is the second-largest of the three main villages on Paxos situated on the north tip surrounding a large and stunning natural harbor which is the favorite mooring point for sailing boats. It has two beautiful beaches that you can reach on foot, Kanoni and Harami. Antipaxos is the small Island that everyone visits when in Paxos. Totally unspoilt, it offers you the smell of pines, myrtles and cypress trees together with unparalleled exotic sandy beaches and crystal waters. Vrika and Voutoumi are supposed to be two of the most beautiful beaches in the world and this place would fit most definitions of Paradise.
